Built using a laser cutter, plexiglass, screen printing and sound components, this serious of work explores the use of appropriated media information, culled from online news sources and music. The work seeks to point out issues and areas in both music and media which use sample based resources, but also use varied sound and visual qualities in order to get their points across. Lo-resolution imagery, various sample and bit rates and small image sources are used to create a wholly new piece which is culled from all of these high and low end sources. The work questions the way in which today's culture reads, believes and buys into (or doesn't) media and pop culture. It also seeks to make references to older forms of media and information in the hopes that new storylines or information can be considered in comparative viewing and listening.
